Task Around ’07

The purpose of last years tour was to capture and promote the western Canadian freestyle rolling community.

Kelowna, BC was our first stop. Leon, Stevie E. and I skated Ben Lee skatepark after chilling at the beach. It was a hot, hot day. I was so exhausted from doing this trick a million times for Leon to get a good shot. I guess it was worth it ’cause now I’m first pic. .

Adam Klassen still skating when everyone was dehydrated. I must say though, he looks pretty hot… you can tell by the sweat on his forehead.

We basically inched our way through 10 hours of traffic jams to get to Calgary. It would have been nice to have a beer or two in the car. Everyone met us at the pub the next day. We later relocated to Tommy D’s place and had some funny drunken mini-ramp experiences. Good times. Calgary what!!!

My first time at MIllenium Park. I was pretty hung that day so I didn’t skate too much. Leon and Dallas disappeared for a while and they came up with this awesome pic. A lot of skaters showed up throughout the session and it was really cool to experience the skate scene of a different city than my own. Oh yeah and it was my birthday that day. Whoopie!

Leon made me lie on the ground to take this pic and then I got hit in the head by a skateboard. Jordan and Wedman took us to this park in Edmonton and it was so much fun. I would have loved to skate longer but we were being eaten alive by mosquitos.

My first big street rail. I slid the whole rail but I sat down when I landed. You can kinda tell by the footage but Kyle is in the way, which is good. If I didn’t tell you then you would never know… unless you were there. And a bunch of Calgary boys were. It was Danny Thepps’ birthday and there was a surprise party and everything. So fun. I love summer Birthdays.

I think this was the last session of the tour. Everyone was killing that rail. This is a picture Wedman took of Me, filming Leon. It’s not always about Leon you know. JK. Actually, for that shot, I had Leon telling me to film him over and over again because he wanted to get the trick perfect and at the same time, Wedman was telling me to move here or there because he wanted to get the picture perfect. It’s kinda tricky working with two perfectionists.
